In the resolution, the senator said that there is a feeling of deprivation among the voters and candidates of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the date of election in the province is proving to be unsuitable, the general election should be postponed to a suitable date instead of February 8.

Senator Hilal-ur-Rehman said that severe cold and snowfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are preventing citizens from voting in a safe environment, making it difficult for candidates to conduct election campaigns. Hilal-ur-Rehman, who submitted the resolution, is an independent senator from FATA. The number of resolutions submitted in the Senate Secretariat related to the elections has so far reached 3, in which two resolutions related to postponing the elections while the resolution to hold the elections on time was submitted by Jamaat-e-Islami.
