Sachin Tendulkar Reacts on his Deepfake video

In this video, Sachin can be seen praising this app that claims to make instant money. "These are fake videos," Sachin said on X (formerly Twitter). I regret that the technology is being misused in a wanton way.

Before Sachin, many famous Indian personalities have become victims of deepfake videos and he is not the only one to speak out against it. A few months ago, actress Rashmika Mandana appealed to people not to share her deepfake video after it went viral. In the video, Rashmika's face was used in a video on Instagram by a British-born Indian woman. The case has sparked a debate in India about the misuse of technology.

The actress termed the incident as 'horrifying' and called on women to reveal what happened to them. Alia Bhatt, Kajol and Katrina Kaif are among the actresses who have been targeted by deepfake videos.

In this video of Sachin, he can be seen saying, 'My daughter (Sarah Tendulkar) is playing this game that everyone is talking about. She earns eighty thousand rupees by playing this game every day. It amazes me how easy it has become to make good money. This app is absolutely free.

This fake ad not only has Sachin's picture but his voice is also similar to the real one. Sachin has requested everyone to file complaints against such videos, ads and apps.He wrote on X that 'social media platforms need to be alert and respond quickly to such complaints. Their prompt response is essential to prevent the spread of misinformation and deepfakes. Sachin is one of India's most popular cricketers who retired in 2013 and has since been part of several promotional campaigns.

Responding to Sachin's post, India's junior IT minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the security of internet users is at risk due to deep-fakes and misinformation created through the use of artificial intelligence. He announced that India will soon introduce stricter laws to ensure that social media platforms delete deepfake videos as soon as possible.India's IT laws require social media platforms to ensure that 'fake information is not posted by any user.'
