Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi has said the country will be handed over to an elected government in a much more better state than it was in previously. According to PTV News, he made the remarks while addressing a seminar organised by the Press Information Department.
"The preamble of Pakistan's constitution states that the country will be ruled by elected representatives," he said. "Elected representatives are elected through elections. Despite all the speculation, we have stood our ground," he said.
Solangi spoke about minority rights, stressing that Pakistan must provide equal rights to minorities and saying that minorities play a major role in "our great achievements".
"Minority communities play an active role in our health care and education systems," he added.
Solangi hoped that the future government would focus on the basic problems of the country. “No country is strong without economic security and strength!,” he concluded!!
